June 2019. TEKIA, as tunnel safety expert, continues contracting projects related to ventilation and safety in rail and road tunnels both in Spain and other countries around the world.
The latest works contracted in the railway field are fire and evacuation simulation studies on the Quito metropolitan line (Ecuador) and in the future expansion of the Albrook station, belonging to Line 3 of the Panama Metro. In Spain, INECO contracts TEKIA for the evacuation study in case of fire at the Sant Feliu De Llobregat Station.
In the road sector, VITS Andina has recently contracted TEKIA in Colombia for the performance design of the ventilation of the Tesalia tunnel (3.5 km) based on risk analysis, located on the Pacífico III Highway, and that of the La Quiebra tunnel ( 4.1 km). For its part, ABERTIS, the audit of the ventilation systems of the T8 tunnel (777 m) located on the C32 motorway, in Barcelona (Spain).
As a key element in tunnel safety, in all ventilation projects TEKIA applies a contrast methodology and design of the tunnel evacuation system based on 3D computer simulation and field tests with its own equipment, having already worked on more than 100 ventilation projects around the world.
