Madrid (Spain) September 2019. Madrid Council has awarded to the Efibus system with the “Muévete Verde” award in the energy efficiency category. This system is being implemented by the joint venture ETRA-TEKIA in 1000 EMT buses after a pilot test along 2018, in which had achieved very satisfactory results in fuel consumption savings.

The Councilor for the Environment and Mobility of the Consistory, Francisco de Borja Carabante, delivered on Wednesday, the 18th at the EMT headquarters to Jesús Manzano and Francisco Palazón as representatives of the UTE the diploma that accredits the award for the development of technology EFIBUS for the benefit of environmental impact, energy saving and safety in public transport.

Efibus is a system that helps the driver in driving the bus to achieve a more comfortable ride for the passengers and more energy efficient, by saving up to 7% of consumption in diesel vehicles, while collecting abundant data that is analyzed in a big data application.

In addition to this initiative, Move Green has been delivered to nine other institutions in other categories related to good practices in sustainable mobility in the city of Madrid.
